Gems are the premium currency of Clash Royale. When players first download the game, they start with 100 Gems. Additional Gems can be earned in-game by opening Crown Chests, in the Shop or Trophy Road as free rewards, through special challenges, in Clan Wars, or purchasing them with real money. They can be used to unlock Chests instantly, buy items in the Shop, enter Challenges, and more.
